Moskino Film Factory showcases robotics and phygital technology
Moskino Film Factory hosted a “Robot Show” in Moscow to demonstrate the integration of robotics and motion capture technologies within film production. The presentation featured combat robots, humanoids, and stunt performers working alongside digital characters that mirrored their movements in real time.
The event showcased a “phygital” offering, a technological ecosystem that combines physical action with digital content. This format includes robot battles, esports, drone racing, and phygital sports. The development plan for the Moskino Film Factory includes a dedicated phygital arena designed for direct audience interaction, alongside music venues and retail spaces.
Specific hardware featured in the demonstration included the Unitree G1 and the EngineAI T800. The T800, a full-size humanoid, was brought to Russia specifically for its debut at the Film Factory. The performance was structured into three scenes: a robot battle, a choreographed fight involving performers in sensor-equipped suits, and a humanoid training session.
