Mosque caretakers and administrators sent on umrah pilgrimage

A collaboration between AQUA, the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI), and the Istiqlal Mosque Management Body (BPMI) has sent approximately 26 to 27 mosque caretakers (marbot) and administrators on an umrah pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

Now in its third year, the program has sent a total of 70 caretakers and administrators from various regions across Indonesia. KH Bukhori Sail Al-Tahiri, representing the Istiqlal Mosque Management Body, noted that the initiative aims to honor those who maintain mosques as centers for community service and spiritual development. He emphasized that the dedication of these individuals is essential for ensuring mosques remain active spaces for worship and social solidarity.
