Mosquito Spraying Campaigns Begin in Plovdiv (BG) and Hrvatska Dubica (HR)

The Plovdiv municipal disinfection service will conduct adulticidal mosquito treatments across six city districts from 20 July to 7 August 2026. Operations target parks, river banks and residential neighborhoods, running nightly between 21:00 and 04:00 using Ministry‑approved insecticides at recommended doses. The schedule includes multiple two‑day windows for each district, with contingency plans to shift treatments to the next clear day if weather is unfavourable.

In the Croatian municipality of Hrvatska Dubica, the local sanitation department will perform larvicidal and adulticidal mosquito treatments on 26 May 2026. The larvicide will be applied from 18:00 to 19:30, followed by adulticide from 19:30 to 22:30, using bio‑degradable products authorised by the Ministry of Health. Treatments will be postponed to the next rain‑free day if conditions are poor.
