Mossoró Diocese launches 2026 Santa Luzia Festival

The Diocese of Mossoró has officially launched the 2026 Santa Luzia Festival, scheduled to take place from December 1 to December 13. The event, themed ‘Jesus, looking at him, loved him’, is expected to draw thousands of devotees.

Key updates for the 2026 edition include a new visual identity inspired by the Year of Youth and the introduction of the ‘Santa Luzia Conecta’ app. This mobile platform, available for Android and iOS, will allow participants to interact with the schedule, view homilies, and share photos.

The traditional procession will follow its established route from the Monastery of Saint Clare to the Cathedral of Santa Luzia. Preparatory activities, such as the Cavalgada da Luz and the Santa Luzia Run, will occur throughout November, with the official pilgrimage of the patron saint's image beginning in late November.
