Mossoro kicks off 4th Amateur Futsal Circuit while Monteiro Cup moves to quarterfinals
The 4th Circuito Esportivo Mossoroense (CEM) opens on 21 July with a men’s futsal match between Chelsea Mossoró and Katiau FC at the Pedro Ciarlini Gym. The tournament will feature 32 men’s teams and six women’s teams, run through 5 December, and offers a total prize of R$ 50 000 for champions across five sports (futsal, football, volleyball, handball and basketball).
In the neighbouring city of Monteiro, the Copa Monteirense de Futsal 2026 enters its knockout stage. Quarter‑final matches begin on 7 July and continue through 16 July, with eight teams competing at the José Leite de Sousa school court. The municipal sports department is organising the event to promote local participation and spectator attendance.
Both competitions are amateur futsal tournaments supported by municipal authorities, aiming to boost sport participation in their respective regions of Brazil.
