Most to restore damaged Klimeš UFO sculpture

The city of Most has announced plans to restore the damaged Klimeš UFO sculpture located in Střed Park. The polished diorite work by academic sculptor Josef Klimeš partially collapsed in mid-August due to material degradation.

Mayor Marek Hrvol confirmed that restoration work is scheduled to begin in late September. To minimize costs and logistical issues, the repairs will be conducted on-site rather than transporting the piece. The total cost of the restoration is estimated at approximately 32,000 CZK. The area surrounding the sculpture remains cordoned off with fencing for safety reasons.
