Mostafa Khater hospitalized due to kidney stones

Egyptian actor Mostafa Khater has been hospitalized following a health emergency during the Hurghada Youth Film Festival. Khater, who was honored at the festival's opening, initially reported feeling slight fatigue during the event.

His condition worsened several days later, leading to his hospitalization for severe renal colic. Medical examinations revealed the presence of small kidney stones and a stone in the ureter. After an initial round of treatment and painkillers failed to alleviate the intense pain, he was admitted for more intensive care.

Due to his health status, Khater was unable to attend the festival's closing awards ceremony. Doctors have recommended an intensive treatment protocol to fragment the stones, with surgical intervention remaining a possibility. He is expected to return to Cairo to continue his medical treatment at a private hospital in Sheikh Zayed.
