Mostar acquires new firefighting vehicle for professional unit

The City of Mostar has purchased a new firefighting vehicle to enhance the operational readiness and efficiency of its Professional Firefighting Unit. The total value of the vehicle is 584,883 KM, with the company SU-AD Živinice selected as the most favorable supplier following a public procurement process.

A portion of the cost, amounting to 54,784 KM, is provided by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of the joint program ‘Disaster Risk Reduction for Sustainable Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Phase II’. This initiative is funded by the Swiss Government, the United Nations, and the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is implemented by UNDP, UNICEF, UNESCO, and FAO in partnership with local institutions.

The investment aims to strengthen community resilience and improve capacities for responding to fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies, ensuring faster response times and better protection for citizens and property.
