Mostar hosts U20 Balkan Volleyball Championship

The U20 Balkan Volleyball Championship for women is currently taking place in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, running from August 19 to 23. The tournament serves as the first round of qualifications for the 2027 European Championship.

During the second day of competition, four matches were held. Romania defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 3:0. In other matches, Russia beat Bulgaria 3:1, Belarus defeated North Macedonia 3:0, and Serbia won against Turkey 3:0.

The event features eight national teams, each accompanied by delegations of over 20 members, including coaching staff and support personnel. The tournament is organized by the Studentski odbojkački klub Mostar (SOK Mostar) with support from the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Beyond the sporting competition, the event is noted for promoting Mostar as an international destination for major sporting events.
