Mostar sees trend of families returning to Bosnia and Herzegovina from abroad

The Raič family, who lived in Dublin for five years, has relocated from Ireland back to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their move reflects a growing trend of families returning to the country after living in Western Europe.

Robert Raič cited several key drivers for the decision, including financial security and the high cost of living in Ireland, specifically regarding rent and kindergarten fees. The family noted that they were able to purchase an apartment in Mostar, a feat they felt would have taken much longer in Dublin.

Other significant factors included the desire for proximity to family and friends, perceived improvements in the safety and social climate of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and better practical conditions for raising children. The family aimed to complete the transition before their eldest daughter began a new school year to avoid linguistic and systemic disruptions.
