Mostar to host 107th Šantić Poetry Evenings

The 107th Šantić Poetry Evenings international cultural event is scheduled to take place in Mostar from September 27 to October 5. Organized by the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” (Mostar City Committee) and the Serbian Singing and Cultural-Artistic Society “Gusle”, the nine-day program will bring together poets, writers, and theater artists.

This year’s program highlights the 130th anniversary of the launch of the magazine “Zora” and the presentation of the “Book about Šantić”. A special anthology edition of “Zora”, compiled by Professor Duško Pevulja, will be presented, featuring approximately fifty significant texts published during the magazine's six-year run.

Sanja Bjelica Šagovnović, president of SPKD “Prosvjeta”, stated that the goal of the manifestation is to nurture Šantić’s literary and cultural heritage and to connect people and institutions through art. The event will include a memorial service at the Bjelušine cemetery and a formal opening at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
