São Paulo International Film Festival celebrates 50th edition
The 50th edition of the São Paulo International Film Festival is set to take place from October 15 to 29, featuring 380 titles from 93 countries across 57 venues. The festival will open with James Gray’s ‘Tigre de Papel’, featuring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver. The selection includes major award winners such as the Cannes Palme d'Or winner ‘Fjord’ and the Venice Golden Lion winner ‘Mulher Desconhecida’.
Special honors will be awarded during this milestone edition. Producer Paulo Branco will receive the Leon Cakoff Prize, and Indian director S. S. Rajamouli will also receive the award and host a special screening of ‘RRR’. The festival aims to provide a significant platform for both established filmmakers and rising talents, showcasing a diverse range of international and domestic cinema.
