Mostra de Valencia announces 41st edition film selection
The 41st edition of the Mostra de Valencia-Cinema del Mediterrani has announced its official selection, scheduled to take place from November 3 to 15, 2026. Organized by the Palau de la Música de Valencia, the festival will feature 12 feature films competing for the Palmera de Oro.
Among the selected works are three Valencian productions making their world premieres: ‘Els dies clars’ by Sandra Ferrús, ‘La gran fiesta del cine’ by Toni Agustí and María S. Torregrosa, and ‘Calle de los Ángeles’ by Silvia Rey. The competition includes stories from various Mediterranean countries, including Turkey, Croatia, Italy, Palestine, Egypt, and Greece, addressing themes such as mental health, housing crises, and the consequences of war.
This edition marks the first full programming cycle under the direction of Sara Mansanet, who assumed her role in May 2025. The selection emphasizes diverse narratives, with female directors accounting for 58% of the chosen films.
