Moszczenica celebrates harvest festival and awards historic community title

The community of Moszczenica held its annual harvest festival, featuring a thanksgiving mass, a ceremonial procession, and the traditional sharing of bread baked from the year's crops.

For the first time in the municipality's history, a new honorary title, ‘Zasłużony dla Gminy Moszczenica’ (Distinguished for the Moszczenica Municipality), was awarded. The inaugural recipient was Jan Horszczaruk, recognized for his long-term commitment to the local community and his work with the Volunteer Fire Departments. During the ceremony, Mayor Dariusz Magacz highlighted Horszczaruk's contributions to the development and equipment of the local fire units.

The event included performances by local folk groups, dance ensembles, and the band Mejk, alongside traditional food stalls provided by local rural women's circles.
