Mota-Engil secures $207 million contract in Mozambique

Mota-Engil África has secured a $207 million contract to perform preparatory works for Area 4 of the Mozambique Rovuma Ventures project in Afungi, Cabo Delgado province. The contract was awarded in a consortium with the Italian firm Bonatti Spa.

The project, led by ExxonMobil, involves a 27-month timeline starting immediately. The scope of work includes earthmoving, infrastructure construction, the development of the second phase of the Pioneer Camp, the construction of an Operational Camp, and complementary structures. Additionally, the agreement covers the operation and maintenance of the constructed camps.

This contract strengthens Mota-Engil’s order book in Mozambique, a region the group identifies as having significant growth potential due to its natural gas developments.
