Motel One expands Vienna presence with Vio Plaza hotel takeover
Motel One Group is expanding its presence in Vienna by taking over the hotel operations at the Vio Plaza in the Meidling district. The property, which features 265 rooms, was previously operated by H2 Hotel.
Real-Treuhand Immobilien, a subsidiary of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, has leased the hotel within the mixed-use complex to the Motel One Group on a long-term basis. The hotel is expected to be fully integrated into the Motel One brand portfolio next year, following a period of upgrades to meet the company's standards.
This acquisition follows the restructuring of the Revo Hospitality Group, which saw its H2, H4, and H+ brands broken up after a wave of insolvencies. The expansion marks Motel One's ninth location in Vienna, strengthening its footprint in the Austrian capital.
