The MotelX Lisbon International Horror Film Festival has launched its 20th edition, marking its largest program to date. To celebrate this milestone, the festival has expanded to an 11-day schedule, running from September 3 to September 13.

The event features over 170 films from 40 different countries across more than 145 screenings. In addition to its usual venue, Cinema São Jorge, the festival has added the Cinemateca Portuguesa to its lineup.

Highlights of the program include a tribute to Italian director Sergio Martino and a celebration of the centenary of Roger Corman. The festival also presents the Noémia Delgado Award to filmmaker Solveig Nordlund. Domestic Portuguese productions remain a significant part of the lineup, including the Portuguese-Italian co-production BodyHackers.
