Mother Lucy Richards urges public to locate son Jesse's remains
Lucy Richards, now in her 80s, has renewed a public appeal on each anniversary of her son Jesse Richards' murder to find his missing body. Jesse, 40, was killed on 31 July 2009 in Cleeve Prior, Evesham, after a violent attack linked to a £1 million drugs debt. Five men were convicted in 2012 and sentenced to a total of more than 50 years in prison, but his body has never been recovered.
West Mercia Police believe the body was initially taken to Warwickshire and remains hidden. A £10,000 reward is being offered through Crimestoppers for information leading to its recovery. Lucy warned that “my time is running out” and pleaded for anyone with knowledge to come forward, saying the continued lack of closure is a “living nightmare” for her and her family.
