Mother of Graves announces new album ‘The Light that Keeps Us’

Indianapolis-based melodic death-doom band Mother of Graves has announced their upcoming album, ‘The Light that Keeps Us’, scheduled for release on October 16 via Profound Lore Records.

The band has released the first single, ‘Through the Pale Shade’. Vocalist Brandon Howe described the track as a lyrical narrative regarding resilience and finding beauty within despair, noting that the song encapsulates the band’s evolving identity and sound.

The album features songwriting from guitarists Chris Morrison and Ben Sandman, with contributions from bassist Corey Clark and drummer Don Curtis. The track ‘Wingless Soul’ includes guest vocals from Dan Swanö, who also handled the album's mastering. The release follows two years of preparation and comes after the success of their previous work, ‘The Periapt of Absence’.
