Tommy Lee appeared on Billy Corgan’s podcast "The Magnificent Others" and spoke about guitarist Mick Mars’ exit from Motley Crue. Lee said the split was painful, noting the band’s 2014 decision to stop touring and the later lawsuit Mars filed after leaving in late 2022, which has now been settled.

Lee described Mars’ struggle with a progressive spinal disease that limited his ability to perform, recalling that Mars informed the band he could no longer tour. He praised John 5, who stepped in after Mars retired in 2022, as bringing new energy to the group. The band’s next concert is scheduled for July 31 in Holmdel, New Jersey.
