Motocross accident in Gioiella leaves rider hospitalized

A serious accident occurred during the Italian Pro Prestige Motocross Championship at the Vinicio Rosadi International Motocross Track in Gioiella di Castiglione del Lago. During the second heat of the MX1 class, four riders were involved in a collision following a jump on a technical section of the circuit.

While three riders escaped with minor bruises, a rider from Lucca, Tuscany, sustained serious injuries. He was treated on-site by medical personnel before being rushed via ambulance to the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Perugia under a red code. His condition has since improved, and he is reported to be out of danger.

On the sporting side, the event saw significant participation with over 200 riders. Jan Pancar won the MX1 class, while Valerio Lata secured the MX2 title. Other winners included Manuel Cavina and Leonbruno Di Biase in the AMA Expert categories, and Ana Kolnookov in the female 125 class.
