Motocultor festival begins in Carhaix amid heatwave

The Motocultor festival held its first day in Carhaix on Thursday, August 13. Despite high temperatures and heatwave warnings in parts of Finistère, the event proceeded with a lineup featuring post-metal and Breton music, including a headlining performance by Primus.

While the festival has established itself as a significant presence in the French metal scene, organizers faced challenges due to the heat. Pyrotechnics were prohibited due to heatwave precautions. The festival utilized four stages, including two tents to provide shade for attendees. Some logistical issues were noted regarding parking arrangements and the availability of cooling facilities.
