Marc Marquez 100th win Hungarian Grand Prix Balaton Park first-corner crash

Spanish rider Marc Marquez (Ducati) won the MotoGP Hungarian Grand Prix at the Balaton Park circuit on 7 June 2026, securing his first victory of the season and the 100th win of his Grand Prix career (74 in the premier class). He became only the third rider to reach this milestone after Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi. Marquez finished 1:42:55.325, 1.343 seconds ahead of fellow Spaniard Pedro Acosta (KTM) and 11.632 seconds ahead of Italy’s Francesco Bagnaia.

The race was marred by a first‑corner crash triggered when Jorge Martin lost control, sending riders Fermin Aldeguer, Marco Bezzecchi, Raul Fernandez and Fabio Di Giannantonio into a pile‑up. Bezzecchi retired, while the others were taken to medical facilities for checks. Marquez also won the Saturday sprint race.

Championship standings after the event saw Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi maintain the lead with 180 points, while Marquez moved up to fifth with 108 points. The next round of the MotoGP World Championship will take place in Brno, Czech Republic, on 21 June 2026.
