MotoGP riders Morbidelli and Moreira receive grid penalties at Sachsenring

Franco Morbidelli, riding for the VR46 team, was handed a three‑place grid penalty for impeding Pedro Acosta during the practice session of the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring. The incident occurred early in the session, outside the final 20‑minute window, and as a second offence of this type it triggered the prescribed three‑position drop for Sunday's main race.

Diogo Moreira of LCR Honda was also penalised three grid places after obstructing Luca Marini in the last 20 minutes of practice. The stewards classified the action as a slow‑riding incident that affected another rider, applying the same three‑place sanction to the main race but not to the sprint event. Both penalties will affect the starting order for the Sunday race.
