Marco Bezzecchi takes pole and sets record at Misano MotoGP FAST-MOVING

The 2026 MotoGP San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli has commenced with intense competition across all classes. In the premier MotoGP class, Marco Bezzecchi secured pole position with a historic lap of 1:29.982, setting a new circuit record and becoming the first rider to break the 1:30 barrier at Misano. Marc Márquez followed in second, while Fermín Aldeguer took third. Championship leader Jorge Martín finished fifth. The weekend has seen mixed conditions, including rain and varying grip levels, which impacted several riders, including Francesco Bagnaia, who struggled significantly in practice.

In the Moto2 category, Senna Agius set the fastest time during Friday's practice, while Tony Arbolino also showed strong form on a drying track. Moto3 sessions saw Brian Uriarte lead the way during challenging, wet conditions. The event continues through Sunday, featuring the Sprint race and the main Grand Prix, with high stakes for the championship battle between Bezzecchi, Márquez, and Martín.
