MotoGP to remove Hungarian Grand Prix from 2027 calendar

The MotoGP Group has announced that the Hungarian Grand Prix will not be part of the 2027 racing calendar. While no specific reason was provided for the removal, reports indicate that attendance at Balaton Park dropped significantly in 2026, with approximately 41,732 visitors compared to over 80,000 in 2025.

Despite the removal from the 2027 schedule, the organization stated that Hungary remains an important destination. Discussions regarding a potential future return are ongoing, with the Hungaroring being mentioned as a possible venue, though it would require modifications to meet requirements.

Additionally, the MotoGP Group confirmed that the 2027 season will conclude at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. The full 2027 race calendar is expected to be officially released on September 25, with the season opener scheduled to take place in Buriram, Thailand, between March 5 and March 7.
