Motohiro Hata to release first tribute album featuring Ikimonogakari and Saucy Dog

Japanese singer Motohiro Hata will release his first tribute album, titled ‘Hata Motohiro wo Utau -Hata Motohiro Tribute-’, on November 4. The project celebrates his upcoming 20th debut anniversary in November 2026.

Featured artists include Ikimonogakari, who are contemporaries of Hata, and will cover the song ‘Himawari no Yakusoku’. The group expressed deep respect for Hata, noting they have shared stages and professional connections since their debut years.

Additionally, the band Saucy Dog will participate in the album, covering the 2007 single ‘Aoi Chou’. Member Shinya Ishihara noted that while the song is a personal favorite, its unique rhythm and vocal nuances made it a challenging but rewarding selection for their rendition.
