Alan Ritchson's 'Motor City' Trailer Showcases 1970s Detroit Revenge Thriller

A new trailer for Alan Ritchson’s upcoming action thriller *Motor City* has been released. The film is set in 1970s Detroit and follows working‑class figure John Miller, portrayed by Ritchson, who is wrongly convicted of drug possession and, after his release, embarks on a ruthless revenge mission against the gangster who ruined his life and stole his love, Sophia, played by Shailene Woodley.

Directed by Potsy Ponciroli and scripted by Chad St. John, the cast also includes Ben Foster and Ben McKenzie. The trailer emphasizes gritty car chases, brutal fight scenes and a retro soundtrack featuring artists such as Bill Withers, Jack White, David Bowie, Donna Summer and Fleetwood Mac. *Motor City* premiered at the Venice Film Festival in August 2025 and is slated for its U.S. theatrical debut, with a Swedish opening scheduled for 24 July.
