Motor City film starring Alan Ritchson moves to digital streaming

The revenge thriller ‘Motor City’, starring Alan Ritchson, is transitioning to digital platforms for purchase and rental starting Tuesday, August 25. The film, directed by Potsy Ponciroli, follows John Miller, a blue-collar worker in 1970s Detroit who seeks vengeance against a crime kingpin after being framed for a drug crime and serving time in prison.

Following a disappointing theatrical run that grossed approximately $2.7 million domestically against a $30 million production budget, the film will be available on services including Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and YouTube movies. Rental prices are expected to be around $19.99, while digital purchases will be approximately $24.99.

The film has gained attention for its unique stylistic choice of having very little dialogue, relying instead on physical performances, action choreography, and its soundtrack to drive the narrative. The cast also features Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, Pablo Schreiber, and Ben McKenzie.
