Motorcycle accidents result in multiple fatalities in Colombia and Mexico

Two separate motorcycle accidents involving young victims have been reported in Colombia and Mexico.

In Colombia, two motorcyclists died in the Meta department over the weekend. Iván Rocha, 21, died on Friday after colliding with a truck in Villavicencio. On Saturday morning, 28-year-old Duván Felipe Echeverry Villafañe died in an accident in the La Chorrera sector of Acacías. Authorities have indicated that excessive speed may have been a factor in both incidents.

In Mexico, a teenage couple aged 17 and 18 died on Monday night near Santa María del Río. Erick Abraham Tenorio Moreno and Celic Borjas Rodríguez were traveling on a motorcycle toward San Luis Potosí when they were struck by a vehicle, believed to be a trailer. The driver reportedly fled the scene without providing assistance. The State Attorney General's Office has launched an investigation to locate the responsible driver.
