Motorcycle accidents result in serious injuries and one death

A series of motorcycle-related accidents has resulted in serious injuries and a fatality in separate incidents.

In Dutchess County, New York, a motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries following a collision with a tractor-trailer on Hollow Road in the Town of Clinton. The rider was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The operator of the tractor-trailer was not injured, and State Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Hollow Road was closed between State Route 9G and West Cookingham Road during the investigation.

In Wilkes County, North Carolina, a wreck involving a motorcycle equipped with a trike kit resulted in one death and one serious injury. The accident occurred on Wednesday, October 14, in the Pleasant Ridge community.
