Motorcycle collision injures three, including child, in Motul, Mexico

A nighttime crash between two motorcycles on a central street in Motul, Yucatán, left three people wounded – a man, his wife, and their minor child. The incident occurred when one rider attempted a high‑speed overtake, cut back into the lane and struck the other bike, causing both motorcycles to skid. The family fell to the pavement; the child sustained a leg injury and the mother received blunt-force injuries, but none of the injuries were serious.

Police reports say the rider deemed responsible fled the scene after the collision, taking a personal item from the roadway before disappearing. Municipal police began an investigation and paramedics treated the victims on site before releasing them. Authorities urged drivers to respect speed limits and perform overtaking maneuvers only when safe.
