Motorcycle collisions in Michoacán and Guadalajara leave riders injured

On June 16, 2026, a motorcyclist was injured in Huetamo, Michoacán, after a white 2015 GMC Denali Terrain performed a U‑turn and struck a grey‑blue 2024 Italika motorcycle without plates on Avenida Madero Norte near the Amalia Mendoza roundabout. The rider received medical care from Red Cross paramedics and was taken to a hospital while state traffic officials began an investigation and a tow company secured the vehicles.

Later the same day, two motorcyclists suffered serious injuries in Guadalajara’s colonia Americana at the intersection of Mexicaltzingo and Avenida Unión. Witnesses say the riders ran a red light and collided with a Kia car. Neither was wearing a helmet and a faint smell of alcohol was reported. Municipal paramedics provided pre‑hospital treatment and transported them to medical facilities. Police are probing the crash to determine responsibility.
