Fatal Motorcycle Crash on B3 Near Friesenheim, Germany

On the evening of Sunday, 1 October 2023, a 46‑year‑old motorcyclist travelling southbound from Offenburg lost control on a left‑hand curve of the Bundesstraße 3 near Friesenheim. The rider veered off the road and crashed into a neighbouring maize field, where he died from his injuries at the scene.

Police from the Lahr precinct and the Offenburg accident service recorded the incident until about 20:40, during which time the B3 was fully closed to traffic. The motorcycle was a total economic loss, valued at roughly €8,000. No other injuries were reported.
