Motorcycle manufacturers expand presence in Manaus
The motorcycle industry in Manaus, Brazil, is seeing significant activity from both established and expanding manufacturers. MXF has announced plans to open a new factory in Manaus by 2027, representing an investment exceeding R$ 10 million. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 30,000 units, focusing on performance motorcycles and 4x4 ATVs. During its expansion announcement, MXF also unveiled the 350TSMXi concept prototype.
Meanwhile, BMW Motorrad is celebrating 10 years of its Manaus production plant, which is the brand's only facility outside of Germany dedicated exclusively to motorcycles. The plant has reached a milestone of 150,000 units manufactured in Brazil, supporting the country's status as the company's fifth-largest global market. To mark the anniversary, the brand released a limited edition of the R 1300 GS Adventure, with only ten units produced for the country.
