Motorcycle markets expand in Argentina and Ecuador

Motorcycle markets in Argentina and Ecuador are experiencing significant growth. In Argentina, Mendoza recorded 17,386 motorcycle registrations between January and August 2026, a 16.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025. However, Mendoza's growth rate trails the national average, where registrations rose by 41.2% during the same period, totaling 586,650 units.

In Ecuador, new motorcycle sales reached 211,479 units from January to August 2026, marking a 20.2% increase over the previous year. A key driver in the Ecuadorian market is local production, with domestic assembly accounting for nearly 70% of sales. Industry leaders attribute this sustained upward trend to the motorcycle's role as an essential tool for urban mobility and delivery services, as well as its affordability and fuel efficiency.
