Argentina motorcycle market sees significant growth in 2026

The motorcycle market in Argentina is experiencing significant growth, contrasting with a decline in the traditional automotive sector. In August, 73,566 motorcycles were registered nationwide, a 34.2% increase compared to August 2025. For the first eight months of 2026, cumulative registrations reached 586,650 units, marking a 41.2% year-on-year increase.

In the province of Tucumán, the market has seen an extraordinary surge, with registrations growing by 115.3% compared to the same period last year. This performance has placed Tucumán third in the national ranking, ahead of Córdoba.

National production plays a dominant role in the Argentine market, accounting for 96.85% of all motorcycles registered in August. Honda remains the leading brand, while the Cub Underbone segment continues to be the most popular due to its affordability and urban utility.
