Motorcycle registrations overtake car registrations in Argentina

In the first half of June, 34,158 motorcycles were registered in Argentina, surpassing the number of new cars. The majority (91%) were low‑displacement models between 101 cc and 250 cc, with 110 cc underbone bikes accounting for 61.2% of the market. Buenos Aires led registrations with 9,952 units, followed by Santa Fe and Córdoba. Industry executives cite affordability, easy financing, low operating costs and the rise of delivery‑app work as key drivers. Many families now consider a motorcycle their primary vehicle, replacing a car to reduce expenses while maintaining urban mobility.
