Motorcycle sales surge in Argentina and Colombia in 2026

In Argentina, motorcycle registrations reached 66,851 units in May 2026, a 17.8% drop from April but a 25.4% increase year‑on‑year. The sector is projected to sell about 960,000 units this year, up 43.2% compared with the same period in 2025. Honda led the market with 11,908 units, followed by Gilera and Keller, which reclaimed third place.

Colombia entered the global top‑10 motorcycle markets, selling more than 1.1 million units in 2025 (+34.8% annually). By May 2026, sales hit 547,834 units, maintaining a 34% annual rise. Approximately 90.8% of the motorcycles on Colombian roads are locally produced, with an estimated domestic output of 1.2 million units for 2026 and factory capacity between 1.4‑1.6 million units.
