Motorcyclist Killed in Collision on Paraná Highway PR‑435

A 23‑year‑old motorcyclist died and three other people were seriously injured in a traffic collision on the PR‑435 state highway near Ibaiti, Paraná, on Saturday afternoon. The crash involved a GM Classic automobile and a Honda CB 250 Twister motorcycle at the 44 km + 350 m mark. Police reports said the motorcycle was traveling directly behind the car when it was struck, though the exact dynamics were not confirmed.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. A 22‑year‑old passenger on the bike, a 19‑year‑old female driver of the car, and a 51‑year‑old female passenger of the car suffered severe injuries and were taken first to the Ibaiti Municipal Hospital and then transferred to a larger facility in Londrina. The bodies were later handed over to the Instituto Médico‑Legal in Jacarezinho. Authorities conducted a technical investigation and cleared the road after the investigation.

The incident adds to a series of recent road accidents in the state, prompting local officials to remind drivers of safe practices on Paraná’s highways.
