After ignoring orders from local police to stop, the motorcyclist drove against the flow of traffic and reached speeds of up to 210 km/h. The chase covered over 70 kilometers, passing through several locations including Rezzato, Desenzano del Garda, and Sirmione.

The pursuit concluded in Rivoli Veronese when the Carabinieri of Desenzano intercepted the motorcycle. The driver lost control and collided with a Carabinieri vehicle. Upon inspection, authorities found various types of narcotics consistent with personal use. The individual, who has prior criminal records, was arrested for violations of the Highway Code and remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities in Verona.
