Motorcyclist arrested for allegedly driving into Teamsters protest at Amazon warehouse

A motorcyclist allegedly intentionally accelerated into a crowd of protesters outside an Amazon distribution warehouse in Riverside County, California. The incident occurred Wednesday morning during an organized walkout at the DJT6 warehouse, where workers were protesting for improved pay and working conditions.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, investigators identified the rider as 40-year-old Jesus Salcido Perez of Perris. Authorities determined that Perez intentionally drove into the group, striking two demonstrators. Three people were injured in total and transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

A spokesperson for Teamsters Local 1932, Robert Gonzalez, stated that the two individuals struck by the motorcycle were local union members supporting warehouse workers and were not Amazon employees. Perez was released from the hospital and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
