Motorcyclist dies in collision near Griffith

A man believed to be in his 40s has died following a collision between a motorbike and a car in Bilbul, located approximately 6 kilometres north-east of Griffith.

Emergency services responded to the incident on Mirrool Street just before 7:00 am on Thursday, October 22. The rider was ejected from his motorcycle during the crash. Although paramedics performed CPR at the scene before transporting him to the hospital, police later confirmed the man had died.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old man, was uninjured but was taken to Griffith Base Hospital for mandatory assessment. Officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District are investigating the cause of the crash and are requesting dashcam or CCTV footage from witnesses.
