Motorcyclist drives dangerously on Romania's A2 motorway

A motorcyclist was observed driving dangerously on the A2 motorway in Romania, traveling at speeds exceeding 100 km/h while sitting sideways on the vehicle. The rider's position posed an imminent danger to themselves and other motorists.

In a related legislative context, a new bill initiated by the motoADN Association (B238/2025) has passed the Senate and is currently under debate in the Chamber of Deputies. The proposed law would grant motorcyclists and scooter riders the right to use bus lanes and navigate between lanes of stationary traffic at red lights. However, the bill also introduces stricter safety obligations, requiring both riders and passengers to wear approved helmets with properly secured safety systems.
