Motorcyclist killed in fatal accident on Sicily's A20 motorway

A 38-year-old man, Francesco Nicolosi, died following a motorcycle accident on the A20 Messina-Palermo motorway near the Falcone junction. The incident occurred around 10:30 AM at kilometer 57+700 while traveling toward Palermo.

Preliminary investigations by the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Highway Police suggest the rider lost control of his Yamaha TMax scooter, resulting in a solo accident without other vehicles involved. Investigators are working to determine the exact cause of the loss of control.

Prior to the crash, Nicolosi had been conducting a Facebook Live broadcast from his scooter, sharing his Sunday ride with members of the Club Fnp Motors Messina Asd. The Consorzio Autostrade Siciliane advised motorists to exercise caution in the area due to the incident.
