Motorcyclist Killed in Head‑On Collision on PR‑495 near Medianeira, Brazil

A 49‑year‑old motorcyclist died after a head‑on collision on the PR‑495 highway near Medianeira, in western Paraná. The rider attempted to overtake, crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Caoa Chery Tiggo 5X traveling in the opposite direction. The crash also involved a Ford Fiesta; the car drivers, a 57‑year‑old man and a 27‑year‑old woman, were unharmed.

Emergency services pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene, and the body was taken to the Instituto Médico‑Legal in Foz do Iguaçu. Police and the State Highway Patrol are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
