Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash on Minnesota North Shore

A multi-motorcycle collision on Minnesota’s North Shore resulted in the death of 31-year-old Alexander Wayne Otis of Bruno, MN. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon near the northern side of the Silver Creek Cliff Tunnel, approximately 32 miles northeast of Duluth.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, multiple northbound motorcycles crashed, causing some to enter the southbound lane and collide with a car traveling south on Highway 61. While several motorcyclists were injured, Otis was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the car, identified as 72-year-old Kristin Ingeborg Faruq and 81-year-old Leah Huseby-Frieger, were not injured. Investigators stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, though it remains unknown if Otis was wearing a helmet.
