Motorcyclist Killed in San Miguel, Chile Traffic Crash

A fatal traffic collision occurred in the San Miguel district of Santiago, Chile, around 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Carlos Valdovinos and Chiloé. A motorcyclist was thrown from the bike after colliding with a car and died at the scene despite emergency attempts to revive him. Witnesses described the impact and the motorcyclist’s body landing on the sidewalk.

The driver of the car was detained while the Carabineros' Section of Traffic Accident Investigation (SIAT) opened an inquiry to determine responsibility. The accident forced the closure of Carlos Valdovinos street, causing congestion on nearby routes and prompting authorities to advise drivers to use alternative paths until traffic can be restored.
