Motorcyclist killings reported in Pará, Brazil
A motorcyclist known by the nickname “Teté” was shot to death on the afternoon of 23 July in the Campina district of Icoaraci, near the local market in Belém. Two men on a motorcycle opened fire while the victim was waiting for passengers; he died at the scene and investigators have not identified a motive or suspects.
In a separate incident in the community of Tuerê II, Novo Repartimento, Gilmar Gomes was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head beside his motorcycle on the same day. First responders initially thought it was a traffic accident, but the ballistics evidence confirmed an execution, with police suspecting a personal vendetta. Both cases are being investigated by the Pará Civil Police.
