Motorcyclist Oscar Maldonado dies after fatal accident in El Supí

Oscar Maldonado, a 32-year-old resident of Santa Rita, passed away on Saturday, October 17, in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Hospital General Dr. Alfredo Van Grieken in Coro, Venezuela.

Maldonado succumbed to severe traumatic brain injury sustained during a motorcycle accident on Sunday, October 11, in the town of El Supí, Falcón municipality. The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. while he was traveling to run errands. According to reports, Maldonado attempted an evasive maneuver to avoid colliding with a vehicle on the road, causing his motorcycle to skid and strike a residential gate.

Following the impact, he was initially treated by bystanders and transported to the Clínica Popular Tipo II Dr. Alexander Friedrich in Adícora. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to the hospital in Coro, where he remained in critical condition for nearly a week before his death.
